This looks to be a first: Scottish club Hearts of Midlothian have released a new alternate kit that features the names of thousands of supporters.
The reason? A simple case of payback!
Just two seasons ago, Hearts was close to going out of business after the club entered administration with debts totaling over $43 million. More than 8000 fans banded together in response, joining the non-profit Foundation of Hearts and pledging money to help businesswoman Ann Budge gain control and save the club.
Now, Hearts are returning the favor by releasing a new kit that bears the names of all those who helped keep the Jambos alive.
It might not be much of a looker or sell a lot of shirts, but what a wonderful gesture!
